RECESS
Recess is a brand that champions joy, culture and movement, and my collaboration with them has been built on that same energy. When co-founder Jojo Sonubi reached out in late 2023, it marked the start of a creative partnership grounded in a shared curiosity: his in my cinematic approach, mine in Recess’ rhythm of storytelling. Their mantra, enjoy your life, has become the guiding principle behind every project we have worked on together.
My process with Recess focuses on light and movement: how bodies fill a space and how energy shifts within a moment. They have given me space to experiment while staying true to my core principles of capturing atmosphere with intention and emotion.
From post-event reels to Boiler Room x Recess, I have been trusted to translate their ethos into visuals that feel nostalgic, cinematic and alive. I lean into mood, texture and rhythm, shaping each frame to mirror the energy of the moment. Even in the chaos, my camera moves with purpose, earning me the nickname “the human gimbal.”
