About Me

Elizabeth Alli, founder of In The Element Studios (ITE), is a conceptual visual storyteller attuned to stillness, light, and movement as vessels for presence and memory.

Born with an East London and Essex background, my journey began on stage, where acting taught me the beauty of giving everything to a fleeting moment. With no access to high-end gear, I embraced resourcefulness; my smartphone became my camera and companion, grounding me in intimacy-led storytelling. Walks taught me to notice light; solitude taught me to feel.

Alongside my creative work, I have spent several years in influencer marketing, working closely with both global brands and creators. That experience shaped how I understand storytelling from multiple perspectives: the client’s need for clarity, the creator’s desire for authenticity, and the audience’s instinct for connection. It taught me that at every level, people want to be understood. This balance between creativity and strategy continues to shape my philosophy at In The Element, where my goal is always to translate a feeling or a moment into something that resonates and builds loyalty through emotion-led storytelling.

Emotionally, capturing moments helps me return to them; conceptually, it lets me explore what’s seen versus what’s felt. I create from a place of shared nostalgia to help others feel seen, preserve lived intimacy, and find freedom in presence.

My work is an appreciation and discovery of what is, not through human doing but through human being. I explore life’s melodic pace, mirrored in our surroundings and the emotions woven into them. I document with an iPhone, its ease allowing me to translate feeling in real time. It keeps me grounded in the raw, unfiltered happenings on the ground, where presence unfolds organically. It also adds a new strand of intimacy to filming, as echoed by Aneil Karia, director of Apple’s #ShotoniPhone film with Stormzy, Big Man.

Through this, I seek to create a visual language that transcends borders and cultural nuance; a way of seeing that fosters connection and deepens understanding of the universal nature of presence. My work can be interpreted as the poetry of being, storytelling through stillness, offering a quiet discovery of truth in the details.

The feeling must be televised.
