DLT BRUNCH
DLT Brunch is a brand rooted in culture, freedom and memory, and my journey with them has grown from chance connection into an ongoing creative partnership. During a one-month mentorship program, I met their former Head of Marketing, a meeting that led to The Life In Us, a six-part docu-series capturing the raw energy of their 2023 summer season. It was not just about documenting vibes, it was about framing movement, freedom and memory through a cultural lens.
In 2024, DLT invited me to go deeper. The result was a behind-the-scenes docufilm of their signature Malta trip, weaving team reflections with artist insights from Amaraee, Kaytranada and ODUMODUBLVCK, while tracing the emotion that fuels both their art and their community.
Narration remains an accent to my work. Drawing from my acting roots, I guide audiences through each piece, adding presence, tone and reflection. With DLT Brunch, that narration carries their story forward, helping to archive their legacy in motion.

A behind-the-scenes short film directed by In The Element
This film moves beyond the surface of celebration to explore the meaning behind DLT Malta, its creation, its evolution and its emotional resonance within the community. Through intimate conversations with the team and artists, it asks what makes the process worth it, what keeps the vision alive and what it truly means to be in the element.
It was important to me that the project blended reflection with rhythm. It reveals the input behind the output, the care, collaboration and creativity that shape one of DLT’s most defining experiences. Each answer and each frame build a portrait of connection with complementary beats to bring the piece to an ensemble.
More than a recap, this film is a study in legacy. A reminder that consistency creates community, and joy can be a language of its own.
A consistency in one thing creates a community for everyone. That is something to be proud of.
THE LIFE IN US
A docu-series capturing DLT Brunch's summer season of 23', directed by In The Element.
The Life In Us was my first collaboration with DLT and a defining moment in shaping how I approach visual storytelling. Supported by my mentor, then Head of Marketing at DLT, the project became an opportunity to document the essence of their summer season and the energy that drives their community. From April to August 2023, I released a series of short films capturing DLT’s rhythm in motion, from day parties and night gatherings to the roller-skating rink and the hero trip to Malta that marks the beginning of summer.
I wanted the series to feel layered and human. Each episode weaves together expressive visuals with soundbites and voice notes recorded live from the crowd. I asked people what being “in the element” meant to them. Their responses shared a common truth: the importance of being present, of feeling alive in the moment. That perspective became the emotional backbone of the film and continues to inform my creative philosophy of capturing the presence of the present.
Through its rhythm, movement and intimacy, The Life In Us celebrates contemporary Black British culture and the safe spaces we create through music, joy and community. It honours individuality while revealing how togetherness amplifies freedom.
The result is a melodic portrait of people being people, of vitality expressed through sound and motion. A reminder that the life in us is found right here, in the moments we allow ourselves to feel.
